Back To School Notebook Cover

Well, the nights are starting to draw in now and Autumn is certainly on it’s way.

I love Autumn with all of it’s beautiful colours so I made this plaque to hang up in my room.

I’ve used a log slice which are really easy and cheap to pick up.

I’ve used Silhouette card for the leaves and Silhouette vinyl for the quote.

I started off by bringing the quote into my Silhouette Studio Software and cutting it out at the right size to fit my slice.

I then rubbed the vinyl quote onto the transfer tape ready to put on the slice.

Lining up the quote through the transfer tape I carefully rubbed it onto the slice lining it up in the middle.

Bring in your two leaf files.

I grouped them all together and then sized them to fit the slice.

Next ungroup the files and bring in the leaves.

Cut in your chosen colours.

Group the leaves and move off the mat.

Group the leaf branches and bring in and cut.

I’d used the adhesive cardstock I didn’t need any glue to adhere the branches which was good as they are quite delicate.

I also edged the leaves with a brown ink.

Adhere your finished leaves onto the sides of the plaque.

Add a little natural twine bow to the top of the leaves.

And there you go a lovely little Autumnal plaque.

This was a great little project to do and I was pleased at how it came out.

A lovely inspirational decoration for not a lot of money to brighten up your home.
