Countdown To Christmas

Hi Christmas is nearly upon us!!
This year is going so fast! I made this fun little countdown to Christmas to put up on the shelf.
You could also use it for a December date calendar.
I’ve used a few different files from the design library but they all work really well to make this project.
Adapting The Base
Ungroup the image and take away the Father Christmas images.
Erase the head and adds some fold lines.
You can do this easily by cutting and pasting some of the fold lines already on the image.
Cutting The Advent Boxes
Bring the advent boxes into your design space.
Ungroup the images and then group the labels together and the boxes.
Separate the numbers from the ornate labels and group separately.
Cut all the pieces in your choice of cardstock.
Constructing The Base & Boxes
Fold your pieces on the fold lines with a bone folder to make them nice and crisp.
Layer all the numbers and labels onto the main box pieces making sure you place the numbers as shown on the file.
The adhesive cardstock makes the placing of the pieces super easy, no glue needed!
Gingerbread House Design
Bring your gingerbread house design into your design space.
Ungroup and then regroup into your chosen colours.
Cut all the pieces out.
Adding The Details
Adhere the pieces to the main house base, roof and your little gingerbread people.
Assemble by folding the lines and adhering all the pieces where they should go.
The picture in your design library is a good guide.
The Finished Project
All you need to do is arrange your pieces on the base how you would like them.
I also added the wording to the bottom of the base.
The adhesive cardstock makes this so easy.
This fun project really shows off the cutting capabilities of the Cameo.
Some of these pieces are quite intricate and the Cameo cut them perfectly.
The adhesive cardstock worked a treat too as no messy glue to fight with!
I think I will be making a few of these this year maybe swapping the gingerbread house for another Christmas theme.
The house would also look great with a little battery operated tealight inside.
The file has left a little gap for you to pop one in.
