Making New Year’s Resolutions | Silhouette Magnet Paper

My first post of 2020…Happy New Year everyone!

I am using the fabulous printable magnetic paper to create a visible reminder for my 2020 goals.

Very little is needed to make this project, I used just one sheet of the magnetic paper, some Silhouette Glitter vinyl, along with my Silhouette Cameo, an ordinary grey pen and the Silhouette pen holder.

I chose 2 designs from the Silhouette Store, placed in the Silhouette Software and used the offline tool to create a shape encompassing each design to cut out in the magnetic paper.

Next I cut the words out in the glitter vinyl and stuck the 2 together, a little fiddly but worth it for the sparkling effect.

Resolutions and goals are not always easy for me to keep!

Motivation and reminders often inspire me more.

I used the sketch tool to ‘write’ this design onto paper which I stuck on the magnet paper and used more of the glittery vinyl for the 2020 and confetti!

I found a ready printed list at the front of a diary which was simple and perfect.

Using my new magnets it is up on the magnetic wall in my kitchen.

I didn’t initially realise that this was printable magnetic paper…if I had it may have been easier to use the print and cut option to make my magnets.

However, sometimes good things come from accidents and the vinyl really stands out and I plan on trying a sketch pen directly on the magnetic paper in the future.

It is a very adaptable product.
